First Image On New Screens

Here it is.  As good as the pictures look, they don’t really do the screens justice.  It’s absolutely overwhelming how good they look.

With LED boards, the further away you are the better they look.  On a 10mm screen, when you walk right up on one of them it’s difficult to tell what you are looking at.

With these Mitsubishi 6mm screens, I was standing right on top of them and they still look great.

First image was of course, Lord Stanley’s Cup.

We also looked at raw video of our headshot shoot and some game action as well.  We were looking at an cable HD signal recorded off a DVR and it still looked stellar.

Oh my god, picture looks amazing. Can't wait to make it up to Pittsburgh for a game next season.

I don't think there's anyway I can truly prepare myself for how spectacular this new arena will be, and that's exactly how it should be.

How far away from the screen were you? This is rather spectacular!

Probably 25-35 feet. You can walk right up on it and still see the image.

Color temperature is a little off from the photo, but in person it's spot on.

Ice is completely pure, even looking at a game recorded from cable into a DVR.

The pictures do it no justice.

Don't suppose you'd be willing to let a few people in to watch tonight's game on that thing?

look at the clarity! The standard looks great, but I bet the HD looks amazing. How many screens are there in the arena in total (counting the ones in the concourse and all)?

Looks great Chris, keep up the great work. Any news yet on the EyeSee360 camera availability?

We have the camera in yesterday, but weren't happy with the results. It will definitely be up Monday.

So with playing the Canadiens how much worse is your entanglement of cables in Mellon?

Actually not that bad, because RDS is usually in the mix even if the Habs aren't in the playoffs. Where it's more busy is during the morning skates, press conferences, post game, etc. The Pens locker room if fairly small and it's tough to cram everyone in. Visitors locker room. Sheesh, nevermind that barely room for the players.
